ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
Murlin Evans is an award winning writer and educator with professional experience in
newspaper, magazine and television journalism, public relations and Internet
content development. He holds a B.S. in radio-television-film from the
University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, he wrote, produced and
edited a locally produced news segment, Good Living, which became syndicated
in 13 major news markets across the country. As a newspaper reporter, Murlin's work was recognized by statewide media and professional
associations. At the Blanco County News, he was awarded the School Bell
Award for Excellence in Journalism by the Texas Retired Teachers Association
in 1999 for his coverage of the efforts to establish a local TRTA Charter in
Blanco County. In 2000 while at the San Marcos Daily Record, he received the
Special Award for Investigative Reporting from the Associated Press Managing
Editors of Texas Panel, earning 2nd place in his paper's circulation
division.
In 2005, Murlin received his M.Ed. in Special Education from Southwest Texas
State University and holds certification as both a special education and
general education teacher. While earning his degree, Murlin worked as a
preschool teacher and teaching assistant as well as mentoring students with
behavioral problems after school for which he was recognized with the Beacon
of Light Award presented by the Jerry Joslin Elementary School Mentor
Program in 2003.
Murlin worked as a high school behavior management and inclusion teacher for
the Pflugerville Independent School District upon completing his Master's
degree. He currently freelances as an independent writer and editor for
educational, real estate and service vendors producing text and Internet
ready video content. He hopes to establish his own video footage database
providing positive portrayals of persons with disabilities for use by
filmmakers and commercial media houses.

$45 and when you choose this option, your book is 25% off. The phone tutoring is available most
any time, and provides a detailed review of how the study program works, how
to use the book and the CD, and some important information covered in the
seminar. If you choose "The Details" tutoring, you meet with the
author or one of our trained tutors in person for a minimum of 2 hours. The
charge is usually $60 per hour.
